What is the difference between Classic, Club and the Caledonian Double?

These are the three private-room grades on the Caledonian Sleeper, in ascending order of comfort and price. A Classic Room is the entry-level cabin: twin bunk beds (an upper and a lower berth) with quality Glencraft mattresses and a washbasin in the room, but no en-suite shower or toilet, and breakfast is not included. It suits solo travellers and couples or friends wanting a private, affordable overnight space. A Club En-suite Room has the same twin-bunk layout but adds a private en-suite containing a shower and toilet, plus a complimentary breakfast and priority access to the Club Car and station Guest Lounges. The Caledonian Double is the flagship: instead of bunks it has a genuine double bed — the only true double on the train — with an en-suite shower and toilet and breakfast included, ideal for couples wanting the most comfortable, romantic option. All three are sold for sole use of the room, so you won't share with strangers; two people can share a Classic or Club (bunks) or a Caledonian Double (double bed). In short: Classic is private but basic, Club adds a shower and breakfast, and the Caledonian Double adds a real double bed — with prices rising accordingly.
