No — there is no sleeper train to York or anywhere else in Yorkshire, and there has never been a scheduled one. Britain's two overnight services run elsewhere: the Caledonian Sleeper takes the West Coast route through Cumbria to Scotland, and the GWR Night Riviera heads south-west to Cornwall. York, Leeds, Sheffield, Harrogate and the Yorkshire Dales and Moors sit on or near the East Coast Main Line, which has frequent, fast daytime trains — LNER reaches York from London King's Cross in around one hour fifty, and Leeds in a little over two hours. At those speeds an overnight service would make little sense, which is why no operator runs one; occasional 'Yorkshire sleeper' talk refers to proposals, not a real service. If you want the overnight sleeper experience and are open on destination, the Caledonian Sleeper to the Scottish Highlands or the Night Riviera to Cornwall are your only UK choices. For Yorkshire itself, plan a daytime journey — and if it's scenery you're after, ride the Settle–Carlisle line by day. Always check current LNER and other timetables and fares when booking, as services and prices change between timetable periods.
